Here is a fantastic chili with ground beef recipe for your family. This is an affordable and tasty way to feed your family. Ground beef has been a staple in many households because it’s affordable. Just because it’s inexpensive doesn’t mean it can’t be flavorful. Adding beans and vegetables to ground beef makes it a hearty meal.
This chili with ground beef is different because of the spices. Part of the trick to making a great chili recipe is the seasonings. You may recognize most of the spices for a chili recipe, but one or two may surprise you.

Chili powder – A staple for the base flavor.
Cumin – Works well with the chili powder in creating a wonderful base.
Oregano – This adds to the base flavor and helps offset the cumin.
Smoked Paprika – Helps the chili powder and adds a bit of smokiness.
Cayenne Pepper – Adds heat to the flavor.
Ground Cloves & Brown Sugar – Work to offset the acidity of the tomatoes.
For this recipe you will cook this in stages:
First, brown the meat in a dutch oven. Remove ground beef and set aside.
Second, add bell pepper and zucchini squash and saute for 3-4 minutes.
Third, add onion and jalapeno and saute until soft, about 3-4 minutes.
Fourth, reduce heat to low and add ground beef, beans, tomatoes and garlic. Mix well.
Fifth, add beef broth and spices. Mix well.
Adding spices with extra liquid helps even out the spices and helps the spices become well incorporated.
Sixth, add tomato paste and stir well to thicken. This may take some time.
Turn off the heat, cover, and let this dish rest for 30minutes to an hour. This will help the flavors blend.
Bon Apetite!
