Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 3 tsp baking powder
  • 1 Tablespoon sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups milk, room temperature
  • 2 large eggs, room temperature
  • 3 Tablespoons butter, melted + extra for frying

Equipment

  • 1 frypan
  • 1 spatula for frypan
  • 2 medium bowls
  • 1 spatula for scraping bowl
  • 1 Set of measuring spoons
  • 1 set of measuring cups
  • 1 fork for mixing

Method

  1. In a bowl add flour, baking powder and sugar and mix. Set aside.
  2. In a second bowl add milk eggs and melted butter and mix well.
  3. Pour the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients and mix with a spatula.
  4. Heat the frypan to a medium-medium-low heat.
  5. When you add the butter to the frypan it will sizzle and foam. This tells you the frypan is hot enough.
  6. Pour enough batter for a 5 inch pancake. After 70-110 seconds flip the pancake.
  7. When air bubbles start forming and the edges start to film over it is time to flip.
  8. This is what a well cooked pancake looks like
  9. Add fresh butter in between cooking each pancake.
This recipe will produce about 10, 5 inch pancakes.
